And in the words of one of our former students: "Just as FairPlay takes pride in its teachers, the teachers also take pride in the success of the organisation. Happy and satisfied teachers, make happy and satisfied students. I know my money has gone towards fighting poverty and improving the lives of women... I’ve taken a lot of language classes and have found the classes at FairPlay much more effective than other classes (in other languages) that I’ve taken. " Tamia Lum Dowlatabadi, California.

Live & Learn
Welcome to FairPlay. We would love for you to come and learn with us in beautiful Cusco.
What Lonely Planet says about us: “A unique nonprofit NGO, FairPlay trains Peruvian single mothers and local families to provide Spanish lessons and homestays, and it also organises volunteer opportunities for travelers. Instead of paying tuition fees to a for-profit company, travelers pay their teachers and host families directly, thereby helping the community more.” Lonely Planet, 2007.
FairPlay offers top quality Spanish tuition, with one-on-one teaching at group lesson prices. We can also help you find a volunteer placement, free of charge, and arrange for you to live in the home of a friendly Peruvian family.
From the moment you arrive in Cusco, FairPlay will help you settle in. You can meet other travelers and volunteers by attending social events such as cooking classes and volleyball, make use of our library, DVD collection and internet facilities, and get discounts on hotels, restaurants and bars right across the city.
We will come and pick you up from the airport, and can give you advice on day trips, trekking and tours to help you get the best from your stay in what was once the heart of the Inca empire. To complete the picture, we’ll soon be offering salsa lessons too!
Whether you have months to spend volunteering in Peru and want to really master the language, or want to learn some basic Spanish while on a visit Machu Picchu, we will tailor-make a package to fit.
Plus, you can enjoy your lessons even more knowing that FairPlay is a not-for-profit organisation that benefits some of the most disadvantaged members of our local community.
For more information on how FairPlay gives a fair future to Cusco’s single mothers, and how the money you spend learning Spanish helps their children get an education of their own, click here.
If you have any questions about our organisation and what it can offer you, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
